After a year of ups and downs in the film industry that has been plagued by delays and new shoots, we are finally seeing some of those films finally making their debut. But every movie comes with a great soundtrack and Halloween kills is no exception.
The legend himself, John Carpenter, has just created an awesome new track called “Rampage” for the upcoming movie soundtrack. The second part of the new Halloween reboot trilogy will be released soon along with the soundtrack on October 15.
The composer, along with his son Cody Carpenter and guitarist Daniel Davies, mastered the soundtrack and set the tone for every song. The new song “Rampage” is a mix of eerie percussion and synths that brings the tone of terror that only a classic Carpenter can convey. “rampage” follows the previously released soundtrack single “Unkillable”.
Directed by David Gordon Green Halloween kills was supposed to hit the big screen last October, but it was delayed (like so many other movies). The film brings back stars Jamie Lee Curtis and Nick Castle, who will reprise their roles from the 2018 . will resume Halloween revival as Laurie Strode and Michael Meyers. We have the third and final episode, Halloween ends, which is expected to arrive in October 2022.
Last February, Carpenter released his first non-soundtrack album in five years. Its title was Lost Themes III: Alive After Death. Carpenter launched the Lost Themes series in 2015, then released the sequel the following year. So he is no stranger to killer tracks. Music makes movies like this, you can’t have a murderous crazy man running around town cutting people open for every song. You need to have the right mood music, even if you’re beheading teens enjoying a moment in the back of a parked car.
In a recent tweet, Carpenter shared the new track, reminding fans that they can pre-order the entire soundtrack from Sacred Bones Records. The official soundtrack will be sold both digitally and on vinyl.
Halloween kills is coming out just in time for the 2021 Halloween season, and with these movies coming to an end (maybe) it only makes sense that every detail is covered. So what do you think of the Carpenter’s work (watched what I did there.) Does it pay tribute to the movies and add something new? And are you ready for Michael Myers’ latest story and all the carnage and destruction he’s caused over the years, not to mention the death toll.
