Marvel is coming Black Panther sequel, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, must be a daunting task for all involved as they work tirelessly to carry on the legacy of both beloved comic book character and late great star Chadwick Boseman. recurring actress Angela Bassett has now provided some insight into the difficulty of accomplishing this task, revealing that there are up to five versions of the Black Panther 2 writing and counting.
“I don’t know at all what it’s going to look like. There’s been about five incarnations of the script and I hear there’s another one to come. Of course, when our dear king went to glory, many things had to be shifted and changed, so happy , Ryan [Coogler] and Joe Robert Cole, they are just such masterful storytellers that they have found their way into this world and hopefully it will be satisfying, I think, for the fans and it will be honorable for our Chad. We love our king.”
Boseman, who is first T’Challa AKA. portrayed Black Panther in 2016 Captain America: Civil War before leading the 2018 solo adventure, sadly passed away last August after a private battle with cancer. The plan for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever It had always been for Boseman to reprise the role and continue his adventures in the MCU, which now had to be reworked to best continue the story in his absence.
This is something that has clearly not been taken lightly by the cast and crew, and director Ryan Coogler recently discussed the difficulty of putting the sequel together without the lead actor. “You know, I’m currently working on [writing and planning the sequel script]He said. “One thing I’ve learned in my short or long time on this earth, but you want to look at it, it’s hard to have a perspective on something as you go through it. This is one of the more profound things I’ve ever experienced in my life, must be a part of keeping this project going without this particular person. It was like the glue that held it together.”
Plot details for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever are mostly kept secret, but a recent report claims to reveal the general outline of the film and that a war between the legendary underwater city of Atlantis and Wakanda will be at the heart of the story. “Both Wakanda and Atlantis are hidden civilizations with advanced technology and heightened militaristic capabilities that decided to secede from the rest of the world for their own safety, and in a way, out of fear,” the alleged logline begins.
Wakanda feared their technology would be misused. Atlantis feared that surface dwellers would come and desecrate the mythical city, just as they did so many years ago. And yet their fear escalates even further when these two once-hidden nations collide. Wakanda and Atlantis has a shockingly intertwined history. Wakanda is the only county in the world with access to vibranium. However, rumors of its power spread around the world, and Namor’s human father was sent in search of this rare material in Antarctica…”
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is scheduled for release in the United States on July 8, 2022, as part of Phase Four of the MCU. This is coming from ET to us.
