BEIJING – Sales of Tesla’s latest model to the Chinese market lost steam in April, according to data from the Chinese Passenger Car Association.
The budget Wuling Hongguang Mini EV retained its rank as the best-selling new energy car in China in April, the association said Wednesday.
Tesla’s Model 3 finished in second place, followed by BYD’s “Han” luxury sedan.
But Tesla’s Model Y, which launched to customers in China in January, dropped to sixth place from third place earlier this year, the data showed.
