Amy Schumer wants to give her son, Gene, a sibling soon, that’s why she’s been doing IVF for a while! That said, the comedian and actress just updated fans about the whole thing.
As fans know, Schumer is the mother of a 2 year old son and she wants to add something to the family!

However, that is not an easy task for her since the first pregnancy was so difficult.
So while she did IVF to conceive a second time, even this option could be ruled out eventually.
On the Ellen DeGeneres Show earlier today, the host asked, “And are we going to expect Amy number two?”

In response, Amy said vaguely, “Oh, God, I hope so! We’re trying to figure it out. I mean, you know, it’s like there’s nothing better. Yes!’
Her answer was rather brief, and she did not go into details about the challenging process she and her husband, Chris Fischer, went through to start a family.
Instead, she has kept her fans informed about the harrowing practice on her social media, at least in the past.
For example, in January last year, she showed her followers a picture of her stomach bruised from all the hormone injections she needed to conceive.
She also told them that she felt “very exhausted and emotional.”
Amy later also explained that they had retrieved 35 eggs, 26 of which were fertilized.
But still: ‘We received 1 normal embryo for all those people. So we’re lucky to have one! But what a drop-off, right? ‘
However, in August 2020, she told Sunday Today’s Willie Geist, ‘We did IVF. IVF was very difficult for me. I don’t think I could ever do IVF again. So I decided I can never be pregnant again. We talked about a surrogate, but I think we’ll wait for now. ‘
