There’s no telling where the Fast and Furious will go, and F9 director leaves the door open to a potential Jurassic World crossover. As revealed in the new trailer for F9, the blockbuster series has finally made its way into space after years of joking that there was a natural progression for the franchise. There really isn’t much left after reaching the stars except dinosaurs in super fast cars.
Like the Fast and furious franchise and the Jurassic World movies both fall under the umbrella of Universal, Lin was directly asked during a virtual F9 press conference if the two worlds would ever collide, and here’s what the director had to say.
Well, I never said anything. And the fact that part of our philosophy is that we should never be wrapped or labeled. And that’s all I’ll say. ‘
Reading between the lines, Lin is at least open to the concept, as one Jurassic World crossover certainly fits within their guidelines of not being “boxed in” as nothing more than a “racing” movie. For her part, F9 star Michelle Rodriguez seems to be much more open to the idea as a major blockbuster crossover Fast and furious meets Jurassic World makes perfect sense to her.
“Once you hit a certain peak, you have nowhere else to go but cross and merge the brand, that’s what big companies do with each other when they get too big, you know what I mean? You just have to create a brand And merge with each other. But the only thing that gets in the way is lawyers and studios. Because the brands you’re trying to merge usually belong to different studios or whatever. But it’s under the same umbrella. I know Not. I’m just saying. It works. “
There may only be two more options for it Jurassic World crossover movie, unless the franchise expands with another spin-off series similar to Hobbs & ShawIt has been announced that there will only be two more episodes of the main Fast and furious series, with F11 finish the story. No plot details have been revealed for any of these projects at this time, but there is no indication that Universal is seriously considering a Jurassic World crossover.
Meanwhile, the Jurassic World series continues fine with no crossovers planned. The next episode of that series, Jurassic World: Dominion, will be released in theaters by Universal Pictures on June 10, 2022. The new film will bring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard back together with Jurassic Park fan favorites Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum. Judging by the success of its predecessors, the movie will likely make a huge amount of money when released, like F9 expect to do too.
Directed by Justin Lin and starring Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, John Cena and Tyrese Gibson, F9 is scheduled for release in the United States on June 25, 2021, after years of significant delays. There won’t be dinosaurs, but let’s hope the wait was still worth it. This news comes from https://comicbook.com/movies/news/f9-fast-furious-dinosaurs-jurassic-world/|ComicBook.com
