Eric Andre was pulled a knife while filming a particular scene in his latest movie Bad tripThe extreme prank movie is currently streaming on Netflix and viewers will see how far Andre went with co-stars Lil Rel Howery and Tiffany Haddish to push the envelope. Eric André is no stranger to controversy and goes to extremes and absurd efforts to execute his unique brand of comic art. Bad trip takes things and puts them up a few notches from his hit Adult Swim series, The Eric Andre Show, and at one point he felt he could have died when someone pulled him a knife. “Part of my brain was like, ‘Wow, I could die right now,’” the comedian recalls. “Another part of my brain says, ‘These are going to be great images.’ I thought the movie needed some deadly scenes to really get into it.
While Eric Andre had spent part of his mind thinking about the finished cut Bad trip with the knife scene, co-star Lil Rel Howery didn’t think about that aspect at all. “I literally went out and said, ‘I’m done. I’m not doing this movie.’ I walked straight to my hotel, still in my character clothes – that’s how angry I was, “says Howery.” It was my kids who convinced me to keep going. I told them what happened and they thought it was hilarious. ”The comedian came back and finished the movie, and as far as we know, no more guns were drawn on him.
Eric Andre says the joke in question was the first he and Lil Rel Howery shot together Bad tripThe NSFW joke includes a Chinese finger trap and their genitals, along with walking into a barber shop. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Andre said that the hairdresser didn’t really like their humor when they came in together. “We found out later that he reached for his gun. Forgotten his gun at home, took a knife, chased us away with a knife. He almost killed us,” says Andre. “This is Rel’s first day of recording, and Rel is fucking furious.”
When the cast and crew returned to get the man’s autograph for permission, his mood changed dramatically. And he said, ‘Ohhhh, you are all hilarious!’ The man signs the release. He says, “You shouldn’t do these tricks here or you’ll be killed!” “Eric Andre recalls.” Rel almost quit the movie. ” This is just one of the many highlights of this Bad trip, which Howard Stern has been strongly promoting on his radio show for months.
