Originally released in 2016, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice brings back Man of Steel star Henry Cavill as Superman, who plays a new version of Batman played by Ben Affleck. Fearing the actions of a “ divine superhero going uncontrolled, Gotham City’s own formidable, powerful vigilante takes on Metropolis’ most revered modern savior as the world grapples with what kind of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war, a new threat quickly emerges, putting humanity in greater danger than ever before. “
Together with Cavill and Affleck, Batman vs Superman Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth and Holly Hunter as June Finch. It also includes fellow Justice League member Gal Gadot as Diana Prince.
The film was a big hit at the box office, but ultimately lagged Warners Bros. expectations at the time. Still, the film seems to have developed stronger cult status in the years since. Many fans have praised Ben Affleck’s new take on Batman, which was no easy feat to step into the role after Christian Bale delivered such an iconic performance with the Dark Knight movie trilogy. The crossover was also intended to transition to Affleck, starring in his own solo Batman film, but that project would evolve into change The batter with Robert Pattinson.
Zack Snyder know that there are many people who enjoy it Batman vs Superman, so he planned to deliver the best possible version of the movie for viewers to enjoy. This bypasses recovering many of the deleted scenes that were included in the Ultimate Edition Blu-ray release, as the director also felt that the footage didn’t look right. The 4K remaster will present Batman vs Superman as Snyder had always intended to see.
“I recently approved the Blu-ray box,” said Snyder I Minutemen in January, although he was unaware at the time that it would also be streamed on HBO Max. The filmmaker also revealed last year that he had been working on a remastered version of the film that restores the IMAX aspect ratio and updates the 4K footage.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Ultimate Edition will be available to own on Digital and stream on HBO Max on March 18, the same day as the release of Zack Snyder’s Justice LeagueIt will then be available on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray on March 23.
