After nine exciting weeks, WandaVision is completely packed. And while we are all ready to move on to the next part of the MCU i.e. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, a lot of people are still pissed off with the last episode episode. The fact that the majority of wild fan theories were nothing, that the casting of Evan Peters was just a red herring that ended in a dirty joke, and that actors like Paul Bettany did not hypt the cameos for nothing is a major point for many of discussion. But it turns out that even Elizabeth Olsen initially theorized that the addition of Evan Peters means MCU is merging with the X-Men universe – it seems we weren’t the only ones to be disappointed.
In a recent interview, Elizabeth Olsen was grilled about the swirling fan theories about WandaVision and how disappointed people are that many of them turned out not to be real.
“I knew there were theories out there that involved people wanting more surprises in cameos. But I’m not really aware of what these fan theories were, so I’m learning about them along the way. Paul said something about this crazy cameo back then. he was actually just talking about doing a scene with himself, and I know Paul thought that was a really funny joke, and I thought it was funny, but I thought, I think people are really going to suspect there’s more to come . “
In fact, just as it happened with many MCU fans, seeing Evan Peters as fake Pietro saw all kinds of X-Men’s induction-in-the-MCU dreams for Olsen too.
When we heard that Evan was going to do it, I was amazed. “This is the first time we merge! This is crazy!” And then using it in such a clever way as Jac was so satisfying. Working with Evan playing this version of Pietro [laughing] was just so fun and weird and funny and oh God, Jac I loved it so much. I am so grateful for that “
“I didn’t know about the multiverse when we were filming this. So I wouldn’t assume that’s what happened. I thought it was just a smart way to have a Pietro. I understood the bigger plan. from the multiverse until I started working on “Multiverse”, or whatever our movie is called, the “Doctor Strange” sequel! “
During WandaVisionrun, many theories emerged that Doctor Strange would arrive at Westview to keep Wanda in check, given that she was in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of MadnessWhile nothing happens in the series to indicate that Wanda is facing the supreme wizard, the post-credit scene more or less confirms the madness and its creator in the second Doctor Strange movie. But when asked about it, Olsen feigned ignorance and insisted she hadn’t seen the last episode yet. She has no idea which post credit scene was used as more than one scene was apparently shot. All she knows is that she tried her best not to let her know Doctor Strange 2 consequence WandaVision
“I didn’t know my role in Doctor Strange until just before we went back to filming during the pandemic,” said the actress. “We had two months to go and we had already filmed most of our show. Really, I didn’t know anything until that point when they verbally threw at me. So I tried, as much as I could, almost less have it affects WandaVision just like WandaVision affects it. I think that’s really the connection. It’s almost like we’re trying to make sure everything complies with what we’ve done [on the show]
