HBO Max accidentally leaked Zack Snyder’s Justice League prior to its debut later this month, playing the four-hour superhero movie for some users attempting to stream Tom and JerryTen days before the film’s official premiere on the streamer on March 18, many HBO Max subscribers began posting images of themselves watching the Snyder Cut. That includes a guy named Doug Bass, who told it The Hollywood Reporter that he had access to the first hour of the film before it was cut.
“The CGI is finally competing with Marvel’s and you’ll love it. I’m saying all that. No spoilers. Get excited,” Doug wrote on Twitter. In a follow-up tweet, he confirmed the bug has since been fixed, but further teased the quality, writing, “They sorted it out and cut the feed, but I can say that the first hour or so of the Snyder cut the DC is best movie I’ve ever seen. “
THR also reports their own attempt to stream Zack Snyder’s Justice League had also worked. At first they were greeted with an error message on start Tom and Jerry before Justice League Started to play. Many other HBO Max subscribers also attempt to watch the movie with mixed results. For some, Tom and Jerry plays normally when you select it from the home screen, while others could see the first hour of the Snyder Cut early on. At this point, however, it appears that HBO Max fixed the error after nearly two hours.
“Start ‘Tom & Jerry’ on HBO Max … and the #SnyderCut started playing …” tweeted THR reporter Ryan Parker.
Snyder is teasing the upcoming release of the four-hour Snyder Cut with special character posters and teasers for each of the main stars. On the day of the leak, a new teaser and poster was released in honor of International Women’s Day highlighting Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. Other teasers and posters have recently been released featuring Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, and Ezra Miller as The Flash. We can assume that Ray Fisher will be next as Cyborg.
It doesn’t seem like it Zack Snyder’s Justice League was streaming instead of Tom and Jerry long enough for everyone to make it to the end, but Snyder has made it clear that the movie will end in a major cliffhanger. Since there were plans for the movie to launch a trilogy, Snyder had shaped the ending to open the door to more storyline possibilities. However, Snyder has also explained that he does not expect Warner Bros. will be ordering more sequels soon, even though there is a lot of excitement around the Snyder Cut.
As of now, representatives for HBO Max have not yet commented on the leak. So as long as there are no more mix-ups, Zack Snyder’s Justice League will return in its entirety when it officially premieres March 18 on HBO Max. This news comes from The Hollywood Reporter.
