An all-star cast leads the new action crime thriller Disadvantageous, from writer and director Brian A. Metcalf. The film will be released on demand, digitally and DVD in March. Today we’ve got an exclusive sneak peek at the action, with a clip featuring legendary Sean Astin from The Goonies and Weird stuff fame. He is accompanied by Red Band Society star Thomas Ian Nicholas for a look at the darker side of ride services.

Rideshare driver Ethan (Nicholas) struggles to make ends meet when his sister Mia is deeply in debt to a shoddy drug dealer. When Mia goes missing, Ethan discovers that crime boss Kaden (Rourke) is behind the deed, and to get close to him, Ethan takes a job as Kaden’s driver.

Our exclusive clip finds Sean Astin starring Frankie, who interrogates Thomas Nicholas’s rider Ethan. The man has received bad reviews and the comments about his driving are negative. He is accused of taking longer routes to earn money for his passengers. He denies that, claiming that he took a shortcut to get the rider to her destination faster. Frankie accuses his employee of driving women somewhere in private where he can take advantage of them. But those allegations are firmly denied. Does Frankie like to hit hot young girls? Another report claims he sexually harassed several clients.
Is that true? Ethan claims the young woman threw up in the back of his car and that he needed to clean up the mess. Frankie doesn’t care. He must follow the protocol and carry out the negative assessments per company. Ethan is not getting fired. But he is suspended. Frankie owes the driver more than ten thousand, but the boss refused to pay. Ethan can’t get his money until the sexual assault allegations are over. That’s just company policy.
