In the clip, Hall asks the legendary comedian if he would ever host the prestigious awards ceremony.
As you may recall, he was actually supposed to host it in 2011, but after his friend and co-worker, Brett Ratner, stepped down due to some of the comments he made, Murphy also resigned as host that year.
“Oh, maybe – not this year – but maybe one day, yes. One day, who knows? I would love to … you know, it is an honor to do that and I would love to do it one day, “he replied.

However, he made it very clear that he would turn down the job this year if he got the job.
The show is expected to take place on April 25.
According to Murphy, he has taken strict precautions to make sure he is safe during the pandemic.
“Oh, I can’t do anything in April. I literally haven’t left my yard since March because of this lockdown, the pandemic thing. I’m really serious about it, I haven’t done anything. When the pandemic is over and it seems like the world is going back to normal, then we can do normal things again. ‘
