After the explosive Godzilla vs. Kong trailer from yesterday, fans continue to cheer and howl with joy at the sight of such epic clashes between these two legendary titans. While certain things are a mystery, the trailer has provided a few answers, including how Kong is able to take on Godzilla and his range of abilities. It looks like Kong will forge a giant battle ax that he will use to counteract ‘Zilla’s atomic breathing, something the trailer shows beautifully in its final shot.
An official new toy offers an even closer look at King Kong’s weapon, and it looks like the monkey king will make it from a giant tree branch and one of Godzilla’s own dorsal spikes. As can now be seen in the first footage of the movie, the spike is extremely useful to Kong, as it absorbs the atomic breath and allows Kong to strike back, giving Godzilla a taste of his own radiated medicine.
Fans have been waiting a long time for the trailer, and it certainly didn’t disappoint. Legends collide Godzilla Vs Kong as these mythical adversaries meet in a spectacular all-ages battle with the fate of the world at stake, ‘the official Godzilla to Kong synopsis states. Tensioners continued to be thrown into the works thanks to Warner Bros’ plan to release their full slate for 2021 to both theaters and streaming service HBO Max simultaneously, a controversial move that has displeased many, including Legendary Entertainment. Legendary has since reportedly contested the decision.
