Hopefully, this will be the beginning of the end for COVID-19 as countries around the world start spreading the vaccine!
As long as people do their “duty” and get the vaccine, we should be back to normal in no time!
That said, some celebrities have already gotten it and are making sure to protect themselves and others from the novel coronavirus!
One of the first and most famous of the bunch is actor Ian McKellen!
The man apparently received two doses of the new vaccine at Queen Mary University Hospital in London, as first reported by Evening Standard.
He also addressed the situation, telling the news outlet that he simply felt that it was his duty to get vaccinated as soon as possible and that everyone else should feel the same way to stop the spread of the dangerous virus.
“It’s a special day, I feel euphoric. Anyone who has lived as long as me is living because they’ve had previous vaccinations, the uptake among the older generation is going to be 100 percent – it should be – because you not only have it for yourself, but for people you have ‘am close by – you do your part for our society. It’s painless of course … it’s convenient, and getting in touch and also meeting the NHS staff and thanking them for how hard they’ve worked is a bonus. ‘
He continued, “I would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone. … I’m lucky to have gotten the vaccine. ‘
The UK was the first Western country to distribute the vaccine, and citizens were vaccinated for the first time early this month.
As for the United States, the vaccine began rolling out on Monday.
The very first person to be vaccinated in America was an intensive care nurse named Sandra Lindsay!
