This comes after Breonna Taylor was gunned down in her own home in the middle of the night by plainclothes police officers.
According to Walker, who survived the hail of bullets, the police entered the place he shared with his girlfriend without identifying himself, despite repeatedly asking them to do so from the other side of the door they were trying to open.
So Walker proceeded to fire a warning shot at the officers he believed were robbers or intruders.
However, the agents involved insist that they have identified themselves.
Mattingly was shot in the leg and claims to be from one of Walker’s warning shots.
This has not yet been proven, and he might as well have been hit by one of 32 bullets he and his colleagues went on to shoot, six of which hit and killed Breonna Taylor.
The officer is now suing Walker, alleging trauma and emotional distress at the hands of Walker supposedly shooting him in the leg.
