1) Tell us about your early life (childhood, family, education).
I had a normal and happy childhood. My family consisted of my parents and my younger sister apart from me. My father was a Marketing Professional and retired as Chief (Marketing) from Steel Authority of India Limited in 1996. My mother was a homemaker, who mostly took care of our studies. My sister went on to do her doctoral thesis from Jawaharlal Nehru University and I did my Bachelor in Civil Engineering (First Class Honours) from Jadavpur University in 1988.
2) How and when you had started your career?
I started my career as an Engineering Professional in the Corporate Sector in 1988 and as a Published Author in 2010.
3) When did you realize you wanted to pursue this talent?
I used to write Bengali and English poems during my university days. In fact, my first slim book of English poems, titled: Pain was published in 1986 and created a sensation in the student community and the literary academia of Calcutta. Thereafter, I stopped writing after joining the Corporate Sector. Between 2002 and 2005, I had been an oral storyteller. It was in July 2007 that I realized that if I did not write I would die. It was then that I started writing seriously.
4) What inspires you? (role model or idol)
I think my inspiration comes from within organically. I do not strictly have any role model or idol. However, in any crisis, I deeply ponder I must model my actions on how Mr Sunil Manohar Gavaskar would perceive circumstances and respond.
5) Any professional training?
Bachelor in Civil Engineering in itself has given me professional training.
6) What is your goal and dreams towards your passion?
Well, my goal and dream is to reach as much as wider readership as possible and receive critical appreciation. One of the enduring dreams is to write for The Times Literary Supplement published from London.

I have been covered by major National and International Media including Forbes India, Passion Vista, The New York Guardian and London Daily Post.
8) What are the challenges you have faced or still facing?
I am a very passionate engineer as well as an author and as such, shifting between two demanding professions is always challenging.

I think better time management, planning and following a method are the best ways to overcome my challenge.
10) Tell us about some interesting incidents happened during your journey.
One of the interesting facts about the appreciation I have received from my readers is, I have exceedingly higher fan following among women than men. In fact, the younger generation also likes my writing a lot. Some people have also said that I am a coldblooded professional whereas I write excellent mysterious poetry. Some people also call me Doctor Jekyll and Mr Hyde.
11) Is there anything else you would like to share with us?
I have already signed the contract for my 7th book, titled: Fractured Mosaic, which will be published in February 2021. I am presently writing a book on the Pandemic, which I wish to publish after the autumn of 2021.
